Sunlight International School was dedicated and officially established in 1999 as a Philipino school then it has transferred to The American Curriculim in 2005/2006. It was firstly established in Solaimania District then it changed the location to Olayia District. The school that offers from Preschool to Grade 9. SLIS is open to all students regardless of race,religion or status in life.

services. Sunlight International School schools will assume the responsibility of implementing

academic excellence. Whether you‟ve been a part of the SLIS community for several years
now or if you are a new arrival to our family, you are now part of a special community that
places a high priority on quality teaching and learning, a community where good character

This handbook has been created so that all involved with the education of our students should
be better informed regarding the policies and procedures here at SLIS. I trust that you will find

Dear Parents, Students and Staff
To ensure that we provide the best education we can, we need to ensure that the staff and
students are provided with the best conditions and resources that can be provided. The task of
the teachers is to apply the shared v alues and beliefs of the school‟s community. The future
holds an exciting challenge for our students because the learning environment we establish will
play a vital role to prove that our students are equipped with the personal values and learning
skills that they may need to be lifelong learners. Increasingly, our school administration is
working hard to define what is important for our school to achieve in order to maintain more
success. Our Strategic Plan is our attempt to prove that we are continually d oing our best to
improve our teaching and learning environment.
It really honors me to assure students‟ parents that our school is one of the best schools that pay
much interest to quality learning and teaching methods. All teachers work hard so as to provide
their students with knowledge and information which enable them to be good students.
Our image of a successful future learner
The image we share of a successful future learner is a student with a strong sense of values and
